Sphere With Nested Figures, a sculptural object designed and fabricated by Variable Projects, is featured in the juried group exhibition "Objects: The Secret Life of Buildings," opening October 17, 2016 at the Center for American Architecture and Design at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.
The exhibition, organized by UT faculty Michael Benedikt and Kory Bieg, includes twenty sculptural objects selected via international design competition. Participants include friends and colleagues Future Cities Lab, PATH, FreelandBuck, Maxi Spina, and more. The show accompanies a symposium by the same name, which will explore architecture's relationship to the philosophies of Speculative Realism and Object Oriented Ontology, featuring speakers Graham Harman, Levi Bryant, Timothy Morton, and Craig Dykers.
